Rural Post Office


Trivia:  During the 1700s and 1800s, it took a letter 32 days to go from Philadelphia to Kentucky and 44 days to Tennessee.

Can you imagine? Still takes 2 days, sometimes more, just from SC to NY.

The postal system needs some nips and tucks. Sadly, email has made cyber letter-writing quick and spontaneous, and all of us seek instant results these days. The virtue of patience will suffer for our modern ways, perhaps.
