Personal Ties

In the early 1900s, when hubby's mother was a teenager, she kept house for the owners of this home.  She cleaned, washed and ironed clothes, and watched over their children.  It was her privilege to walk up these steps and become part of their stately household.

What a memory shared and the house so closely resembles two brick homes in our town. Both have widow walks, mansard roofs, and white front porches with a centrally located front door.

It's a sweet style home, that's for sure.
